Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty = Fabulosity

I was doing some research for my xmas wish list this year. And this is at the very top of my list:

Kimora for HK

Hello Kitty jewelery! But it comes at a very steep price. Fabulosity is NOT cheap. You can find Kimora Lee Simmon’s collection online here. There’s also another sweet collection, Hello Kitty by Simmons Jewlery Co., available online at Zales. I happened to stop by a jewelery store the other day to check out the bling HK rings, and they look so much better in person. I was in Hello Kitty heaven.

Now who’s gonna be my sugardaddy and buy me all of these fabulous pieces? :D

Words of Wisdom

I finally watched Kung Fu Panda the other day and loved it. One of the best quotes from the movie:

Yesterday is history,

tomorrow is a mystery,

but today is a gift.

That is why it is called the present.

Halloweeeen!

Very delayed post. Guess what I was for Halloween this year? Usually I don’t like spending $40 on a costume that everyone else has, so I find things around my house and only buy accessories. You get get so much more creative this way. Here’s what I used to put my costume together:

Fake Eyelashes

The hardest part of my costume was getting the fake eyelashes to stay on.

Then I found ricebunny’s anime eyes makeup tutorial. She shows you the proper way to put on fake lashes. It saved me a TON of time.

Voila!

Hello Kitty + Obama Tshirt

Another cute Obama tshirt by artist Tom Sachs:

…except this one is a whopping $60 @ Collete.

So why did Tom Sachs decide to join Hello Kitty and Obama on this momentous occasion? 2 reasons:

1. Obama love. He’s an American artist.

2. Extreme Hello Kitty love. He recently created life-size sculptures of Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters that are now on exhibit in Paris.

Images courtesy of highsnobiety.

The bronze Hello Kitty statue is actually a fountain with water pouring out of her eyes:

According to Schema Magazine,

Sachs describes Hello Kitty as a “pure merchandising icon” with “an almost Buddhist sense of nothingness.”

And back in 1994, Sachs substituted Hello Kitty for the baby Jesus in a 1994 Barneys Christmas window. Pure genius!

Japanese Obama Tshirts

Last night was, WOW. History! I’ll have another post about that later.

Earlier today, I found a funny video on Yahoo!News about people from Obama, Japan who were excited about the Obama win. They were celebrating with dancing, singing, and even special Obama noodles. Watch the video HERE.

In the video everyone was wearing these cartoon obama tshirts…super kawaii.

Then I found out they’re selling them online as well at Zazzle.com.

Click to buy them here!

Better get them fast too. I swear earlier today they were only $18, now they’re $20.
